Mural in Wellington Square, Stockton

Really excited to be painting one of four gates in Wellington Square in Stockton with ARC soon.

I drew this design, inspired by the Victorian Era. The intricacy, elegance, and charm of Victorian decorative art is timeless, updated by the symbol of unity in the centre. It captures the local heritage of Stockton and reflects on the history of its growth.
Drawing on native European design tradition as well as the exoticism of the East, the patterns are predominantly florals and foliates, although there is also abundant abstract figuration.

The design will be adjusted to the dimensions of the gate. Updates on this post will follow as I progress with painting the mural.
